Why do I do it?

I get these ideas in my head and I just need to try and do them even though I know I’m gunna fail – it’s one of my not so good traits!! So anyway last night I was lay in bed thinking about what I can do with the kids today – well…… I decided to bake!! But not just a normal cake – a cake for the Jubilee!! But not just any cake – I have to go one step further and try and make it impossible!!!

Well anyway wish me luck and I will hopefully be back later with a picture of my… um….. masterpiece (I hope!!)

Oh Dear!!

Well it’s been farrrr to long since I updated this blog 4 months is far too long!!! But in this 4 months a lot has happened, the main thing being me falling pregnant and I am currently 16 and half weeks pregnant So I am going to dedicate my Tuesdays to blogging a bump picture and talking about it As some of you may know I have had a pretty tough 18 months when it comes to pregnancies! I have had 4 miscarriages in this time and I am just so pleased to finally be getting a 12 week scan! I had a pretty rough first 10 weeks where I was loosing discharge (TMI) but luckily everything went in my favour!! HEre is a page I did for a MIS at Scrap Orchard

Project 366!!

How many of you are doing the Project 365 (well 366) this year?? I am going to attempt it!!!!

I have decided that I will be creating a 5×7 Brag Book of the pages that I am going to create for this project!! I had no idea what I was going to use or anything to create this project with then I found Inspired Designs by Crystal has some amazing mini packs and they are perfect for what I need!!

Day 7-10 of 25!!

Well we have had a busy few days, Santa visited us, then we went to visit Nanna and Santa went to her house and then we went to see Santa in the town centre today and I have just not had time to sit down and blog !! But tonight I am catching up!!

Day 7 of 25!!! Advent calendar time!! Lily gets sooo excited now when she knows that its time to do the advent calendars!!

Today’s activity was to make some painted snowmen! First we made some with our fingers!

Then we painted some !!!

Day 8 of 25!!!

Today’s activity was colouring in Christmas Pictures and if I’m honest I had more fun than the kids!

And then Aunty Clare came round because Santa was coming down our street tonight so we got some sweeties from Santa!

Day 9 of 25!!

Yum yum cookies!!!!!!!!!! They were so gorgeous!

Then we went to Nanna’s to see the Santa coming down her street!! And we took the cookies with us and didn’t bring any home!! Everyone LOVED them!!

Day 10 of 25!!!!!!

Today’s activity was to make some stain glass window lanterns!!

And today we went to see Santa (again!!) Declan wasn’t impressed but Lily loved him!!!!

Day 5 & 6 of 25!!!

Well if you seen the sneak peak post last night you will know that I had to combine yesterdays and today’s posts together!!

Firstly here are some pictures of the kids opening their advent calendars!

And then here are some of yesterdays activity!!

That’s right we are making Salt Dough Decorations!!!! So we cut them last night and allowed them to dry overnight and then put them in the oven for a few hours this morning to make sure that they were ready to paint!!

And put on the tree!!

The tree and the snowman are my favourites but we also made, gingerbread men, Stars, an Angel, a heart, an ‘L’, a ‘D’ and some bells!!

Just incase your wondering – the recipe for salt dough decorations

2 cups of flour
1 cup of water
1 cup of salt

Mix it together, roll it out, cut the shapes and either leave it to dry for 48 hours or bake in the oven at 200 oF, 100 oC or gas mark 1/4 for 4 hours!! DO NOT up the heat to make it go quicker! It will just make it bubble!!

Remember to put a hole in the top for the string, once they are hard and cooled paint them and hang them!!

Day 4 of 25!!

Mmmm Advent calendar Day number 4!!! And Lily gets so excited when she knows it’s advent calendar time!

Her and Daddy had a race today to try and find the number 4 and she found it before him (and he was really trying lol) and she was so excited when she knew that the activity was to be making gingerbread men!!! (as you can see by her face on the far right picture!)

We had lots of fun baking and apart from me forgetting the sugar *face in hand* they are really yummy (and Declan and Lily snook a couple of cuddles in throughout the baking and I love it when they share by taking turns at stirring!! They really are so amazing to watch together!

And they tasted yummy too even without the sugar lol!!

Hi all!! How has your first 3 days in December been?? Did I mention that I love Christmas???? lol!

Well anyway onto the gorgeous products that I have had the pleasure of working with this week!

I have been accepted onto the creative team of Jeanye Labaya and I used her templates for this page and it has to be one of my favourite pages to date! I used Serendipity templates by Jeanye Labaya [LINK] or [LINK] and It’s About Him [Full Kit] by Captivated Visions [LINK]

I also used the templates she provided for the Pickle Berry Pop Collaborative Kit – Christmas Around the World [LINK] and I used Everyday Moments by Secret Stash [LINK]

Have you seen the Back To the ’80s Collab for the MSA Art Social by Find Your Bliss Designs, 2 am designs and t for me designs [LINK] well I think you should as it’s only $1.99 and as I was born in the 80′s I had the perfect pictures for this page!!

I have always wanted to do a year in the life for both of my children to see how they are growing up (and how quickly ) so when Dunia Designs bought out Duo (2011 in Review) – Layered Templates by Dunia LINK] I took the opportunity to change the wording so I could create Lily’s first year! I also used Addicted to Paper – Kraft by Dunia [LINK] and Kraft Alpha by Dunia [LINK]

And Maaike of Find Your Bliss Designs created a FABULOUS kit that I loved because it was so different to the traditional kit but still revolved around Christmas!! I created two pages using So this is Christmas by Find Your Bliss Designs [LINK] or [LINK]

I have been trying the whole of November to create a Gingerbread House and when t for me designs created Gingerbread and Hot Chocolate [LINK] I had to create a page about my unsuccessful attempts haha

I am hosting the journalling challenge over at Zig Zag Scrap this month [LINK] and I created this page for this challenge!! I used Season’s Greetings by ZZS designers [LINK] and December Memories No1 templates by Mo & Mo Studio [LINK]

And last but certainly not least is a new release from Scrap-A-Holic Designs who collabed with Studio4 Designworks to create the Petcetera Bundle [LINK]!!
